3. Storewide Standards (What We Require)
3.1 Product Quality Standards (Food)
Natural ingredients are required. Products must be made with natural ingredients.
The following are strictly prohibited in food items:- Artificial preservatives
- Artificial colors
- Artificial flavors
- Artificial sweeteners
- Hydrogenated fats
- High-fructose corn syrup
Retail extension (non-food items) For personal care and household items, we strongly prefer products that avoid harsh or unnecessary additives and are positioned as safer alternatives, with transparent ingredient disclosure.
3.2 Sourcing and Sustainability Standards
Responsible Sourcing:
Suppliers must demonstrate ethical sourcing practices, including:
- Fair labor practices
- Respect for human rights
Environmental Sustainability:
Products should be sourced and produced to minimize environmental impact, including:
- Sustainable farming practices (where applicable)
- Reduced carbon footprint efforts
- Minimal use of harmful chemicals
3.3 Freshness and Safety Standards
- Freshness: Perishable goods must maintain a high level of freshness. Vendors must provide clear storage and handling guidance to ensure quality is maintained through sale.
- Storage Conditions: All products must be stored according to manufacturer guidelines to ensure safety and quality.
- Food Safety Compliance: Vendors must comply with all local food safety regulations. Paradigm Place will conduct regular quality checks and safety audits.
3.4 Packaging Standards
Eco-friendly packaging is required. Packaging should use recyclable or biodegradable materials. Excessive packaging should be avoided.
Paradigm Place packaging note: Packaging may be provided by Paradigm Place depending on the operating model and product category.
3.5 Labeling and Transparency Standards

- Maintain ethical and environmentally responsible sourcing practices
- Follow freshness, storage, and safety requirements
- Use compliant eco-friendly packaging (and avoid excess packaging)
- Provide accurate labeling and product transparency
- Support dietary-needs customers through clear identification practices
- Participate in reviews, audits, and improvement requests when needed
5. Verification and Enforcement (How We Uphold Standards)
Paradigm Place will use the following methods to uphold standards:
- Product intake review (labels, ingredient lists, packaging check)
- Documentation requests (sourcing, handling, compliance)
- Spot checks for freshness and condition of goods
- Food safety and quality audits (as needed)
